I work in medical sales and am a Division sales manager at Medline Industries.

Married? Children?
I am married. My wife Megan is a second grade teacher at Tremont elementary and we have boy girl twins, Johnny and Katie. They are Freshman at UA.

What is the fondest memory from your playing career at DeSales?
IMy sister Shelly was a cheerleader and being able to hug and celebrate with her at midfield immediately after the state championship game my senior year was a special moment for me. Camp Agape with the boys was also special and the catalyst for us winning two titles in my opinion. No one suffers through that and falls short of their goals. I could never leave out going 4-0 against Watterson.

What made playing for DeSales so special?
The brotherhood. The relationships we built were special and spanned classes above us and below us. It started freshman year having upperclassman take you under their wing and show you what playing for DeSales meant and what our tradition means. Putting in the work together, being dedicated to each other and being committed to a greater goal. We played for each other and the work we all put in made it so we couldn’t quit on each other. All this lead to us drinking from the winners cup at the end of our jr and sr years.

What was your best game?
We had a ton of great games defensively as a unit. Our second half against Walsh was as good as it got. Personally my best game in my opinion was Watterson. Coach Williams rode me all week in practice and everything seemed to click in that game.

What was it like playing for Coach Jacoby?
Playing for coach Jacoby was amazing. He set high standards and expected a lot from us. He worked us hard and prepared us for every game. What was special about coach was he embraced those same standards and outworked us all. I remember coming in for running one Saturday and he was asleep at his desk. Never went home the night before. Was breaking down film all night. Watching him put so much work in for us made it impossible for us to quit on him. The culture he built was remarkable and I use so many things I learned from him today in my career.

Do you still follow the Stallions and, if so, how closely?
I still follow very close. Coach Wiggins was a teammate of mine and am always pulling for his success. I have several teammates with kids there now which helps keep me up to date with what’s going on . I listen to or at least check in with pouring purple every Friday night.
