What is the fondest memory from your playing career at DeSales?
My fondest memories of playing football for DeSales were the relationships that were formed over that year and a half I was there. Coach Bob Jacoby was such a great mentor and friend to all of us players. He instilled discipline, commitment but also love for each other. I am very proud to say that the brotherhood created still exists today. I am still close friends with many of the guys I played with twenty some years later. I would do anything for them if they needed me and I know they feel the same.
What made playing for DeSales so special?
The brotherhood would be the easy answer but it was more than just that. The whole DeSales community was invested in our team. From the parents to the students and teachers. It was truly a special environment to be a part of. I can honestly say it helped shape my life and success moving forward.
What was your best game?
That’s easy ….the state championship game Vs Walsh Jesuit! That day was the accumulation of a lot of hard work. Throwing the game winning Touchdown pass to my best friend Roy Williams was a very special moment and something I will always cherish.
Do you still follow DeSales, if yes, how closely?
Absolutely I will always have Stallion Pride running through my blood. I don’t get to make it to as many games as I would like having a young family but I always make it a point to attend some games and support coach Wiggins and the team.
