Yes, Air Force Academy

Married?  Children?
I’m married to Alana Balzano. She was the captain of the cheerleading team back in 2011, no big deal. Our Son Giovanni is 16 months old and we have another boy due to arrive in September. Four more years of Gentile QBs? We’ll see!

What is the fondest memory from your playing career at DeSales?
My fondest memory playing football at DeSales would have to be beating Watterson twice my junior year for the CCL and Regional Championships. I often remember the times in camp and two-a-days, just guys being dudes. The best!

What made playing for DeSales so special?
Playing football at DeSales was special. From the game day travels, to the long practices in camp, they are all memories that I’ll never forget. I am extremely thankful for the relationships and support systems that have helped me overcome a lot in my adult life and have helped me develop into the man that I today.

What was your best game?
My best game was the Regional Championship Vs Watterson at Dublin Coffman. My best touchdown was at St. Charles that same year. The 60-yard crowd Silencer in the 4th quarter.

What was it like playing for Coach Wiggins?
Coach Wiggins is one of the greatest high school coaches of all time. We keep in touch and I am lucky to call him one of my friends. Call me back Wiggins!

Do you still follow DeSales, if yes, how closely?
Of course, I get all of my updates about the Stallions from Pouring Purple!
