What is the fondest memory from your playing career at DeSales?
'85 state championship and 33 game win streak

What made playing for DeSales so special?
Grew up watching my older brothers Mark and Rex (childhood heroes) play on Friday nights and always wanted to be part of the experience. Unbelievably special when they came to watch me do the same.

What was it like playing for Coach Pusateri and Coach Mauro?
Tony Pusateri and Phil Mauro. Two good coaches with very different experiences. We were definitely in unchartered waters in '85 with the school’s first state championship and an undefeated season. Prior seasons were on average 6-4 or 7-3 and we were in positions that the team had never been before. Kind of "us vs the world" mentality. The following 2 years under coach Mauro were full of wins 20 or so..... the difference was that everyone had come to expect a win every week rather than the prior year’s Cinderella story.

What was your best game?
So long ago I don't remember.

Do you still follow DeSales, if yes, how closely?
I still follow the Stallions as close as possible from Texas, mainly through friends/family in Columbus.
