Day has thrown for 5,575 career yards heading into a Regional Semifinal

DeSales senior defensive lineman Frankie McAllister was named the Division-II Central District Defensive Player of the Year by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. The Army verbal commit leads the team with 10 sacks and 21.5 tackles for a loss. He’s also second on the team with 92 stops. McAllister is the second straight Stallion to receive Defensive Player of the Year honors after Ty Neubert in 2024.

Offensively, junior quarterback RJ Day and junior receiver Dax Middleton were each named First Team All-District. Together, the duo has rewritten the Stallion record books this season.

Junior receiver Dax Middleton owns DeSales school records for single-season and career receiving yards, receptions, and touchdowns.

Day has thrown for a school-record 2,571 yards and 24 touchdowns, while Middleton, his top target, has set new program marks with 57 receptions, 934 receiving yards, and 11 touchdown catches.

Junior defensive lineman Jordan Karhoff was also named First Team All-Central District. He’s second on the team with 17 tackles for a loss to go along with 6.5 sacks and 56 tackles.

Picking up Special Mention honors were linebackers, senior John Hockaday and junior Kaleb Kitzmiller. Jonathan Brown was recognized as Honorable Mention.
