In the first-ever meeting between DeSales and Independence, five Stallions scored their first varsity touchdowns, including two defensive touchdowns (Max Shulaw - 85 yard interception, Anthony Pickford - 45 yard interception), as the Stallions improved to 1-1.
Liam Harmon led the Purple and White with 109 yards rushing and a score. Whit Hobgood connected with Kyle Nicely twice for touchdowns and the senior quarterback also added a rushing TD.
