The two-time defending State Champions used a balanced offensive attack in a 26-18 win over Toledo St. John's to win their 13th straight game. Quarterback Chris Mahaffey (pictured) threw for 168 yards and a touchdown and also led the Stallions with 89 yards rushing and a score.
The first points of the season, a five yard run by Ron Bradley, was part of a 19-point second quarter for DeSales, who would later add to their tally, after a 42-yard run by Mahaffey late in the third quarter to make it 26-11.
Casey Ward caught four passes for 109 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown on his first varsity reception.
