2016 Division-III Regional Champions

Record:  10-0
Head Coach:  Ryan Wiggins

The Stallions set a program record for most points scored (432) in a regular season despite playing with a running clock in the 2nd half of seven games.  Alonzo Booth set a school record for most rushing yards in a single season and helped lead DeSales to their 7th CCL Silver Division Championship under Head Coach Ryan Wiggins (in 10 seasons).   

 

2008 Division-II Regional Champions

Record:  13 - 1
Head Coach:  Ryan Wiggins

After two years, Ryan Wiggins was 20-0 in the regular season as Head Coach.  The Stallions also captured their first back-to-back CCL Silver Division Championships since the 1997-1998 seasons.  

 

2007 Central Catholic League Champions

Record:  12 - 1
Head Coach:  Ryan Wiggins

In his first year as Head Coach of his alma mater, longtime assistant Ryan Wiggins, led the Stallions to an undefeated regular season and won the program's first CCL Championship since 2000.  DeSales snapped a nine game to Bishop Watterson and made their fourth straight Regional Final appearance. 

 

1995 Central Catholic League Champions

Record:  10 - 1
Head Coach:  Bob Jacoby

For the first time since the 1985-86 seasons, the Stallions posted back-to-back undefeated regular seasons.  In 1995, DeSales set a school record for fewest points allowed in a regular season (33 points), breaking the 1985 team's mark (35), thank to five shutouts.    

 

1994 Central Catholic League Champions

Record:  11 -  1
Head Coach:  Bob Jacoby

Led by an explosive offense that set a school-record for most points scored in a season (431), the Stallions captured the 1994 Central Catholic League Silver Division Championship en route to an undefeated regular season.  DeSales returned 23 lettermen from the 1993 team which finished 6-4, with three of those losses by a combined eight points.

 

1986 Central Catholic League Champions

Record:  10 - 0
Head Coach:  Phil Mauro

For the second season in a row and first time in school history, the Stallions finished the regular season undefeated.  Unfortunately, DeSales moved up to Division-II before the '86 season and did not have enough computer points to qualify for the postseason despite ending the year as the state's 3rd ranked team.  The Stallion defense held opponents in 1986 to under 6 points per contest.  

 

1985 Division-III State Champions

Record:  14 - 0
Head Coach:  Tony Pusateri

Making the program's first OHSAA playoff appearance, DeSales became Ohio's first-ever 14-0 team after their 21-13 win over Orrville in the 1985 Division-III State Championship. 

 

1978 Central Catholic League Champions

Record:  10 - 0
Head Coach:  Tony Pusateri

In his second season as Head Coach of his alma mater, Tony Pusateri led the Stallions to their first undefeated and untied season in school history.  Roy Burrell's field goal with 1:39 remaining broke a 7-7 tie against Bishop Watterson in week 9 and it lifted the Stallions to their first win over the Eagles since the 1968 season.   

 

1964 Central Catholic League Champions

Record:  7 - 0 - 1
Head Coach:  Forest "Treeze" Sharrock

In just their third season overall and second competing in the Central Catholic League, the Stallions captured the program's first league title after an 8-8 tie against Bishop Watterson in the final game of the year.  The Stallion Defense in '64 allowed just 42 points (5.3 per game) and posted three shutouts.
