The 2015 St. Francis DeSales Varsity Football team was recognized as Academic All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association. The Stallions ranked 5th among all Ohio High School teams with a 3.98 GPA. The OHSFCA takes the top 22 individual grade point averages in the fall semester - based on a 4.0 grading scale - to compile the rankings. The entire team’s GPA was 3.498.
Coach Wiggins on the honor, "Our high school has always stressed the importance of being a student athlete. A student first, an athlete second. We have mechanisms to assure it occurs. For our team to achieve this honor ensures that we are succeeding on the field as well as in the classroom. I'm very proud of our kids. That, along with a 10-2 season and a CCL Championship made for a nice 2015 campaign."
