This Date in SFD Football History - 10/25/85

The Stallion defense forced six Watterson turnovers in the 19-6 victory over the Eagles. With the win, DeSales (9-0) clinched at least a share of the CCL title. The game was tied at zero, when the Stallions scored on three out of their four possessions between the end of the 1st half and the start of the 2nd half. Quarterback Mike Asbeck was 8-16 passing for 86 yards and two touchdowns (Dan Lauderback, Jamey Cua) to lead DeSales. Asbeck also rushed for 44 yards. Linebacker John Dennis recorded 18 tackles, recovered two of the four Watterson fumbles and also had an interception.
