DeSales captured the 2020 Central Catholic Championship by defeating Bishop Hartley 16-14 on the road and improved to 5-1 overall, 4-1 in league play. The Stallions piled up 291 rushing yards, compared to 141 yards for Bishop Hartley. It’s the lowest rushing total for the Hawks against DeSales, since the two teams renewed the series, beginning with a non-league game in 2014.
Quintell Quinn led the way with 131 rushing yards, while Jonathan Thompson ran for a career-high 118 yards as DeSales beat the Hawks for the second time this season and won their 25th league title all time.
JJ Baughman made three field goals, including a career-high 44 yarder. Quinn crossed the goal line for the 10th time in 2020.
