Alonzo Booth rushed for 228 yards with four touchdowns as the Stallions beat Beechcroft 38-12 in a Division-III Regional Semifinal at Westerville North High School.
After a slow start, the Stallions got on track in the second quarter when Cole Silvestri connected with Ryan Corkrean for 46 yards. The play set up a 1-yard touchdown run by Booth. Alonzo would make it 14-0 on a 45-yard run in the second quarter. Dominic DiMaccio extended the lead to 17-0 near the end of the half on a 46-yard free kick.
In the second half, Booth rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Joey Velazquez scored his first career rushing touchdown on a 2-yard run in the 4th quarter.
With the win, the Stallions improved to 12-0 and will play Hamilton Township in the Regional Championship. It will be the first meeting with the Ranger since the 1978 season. DeSales leads the series 2-0.
