Leo Amalaman kicked a 47-yard field as time expired and the Stallions (5-5) handed Bishop Watterson (9-1) a 27-24 loss and spoiled Watterson’s bid for their first undefeated regular season since 1993. With the win, DeSales forced a three-way tie for Central Catholic League title. RJ Day threw two touchdown passes and Jonathan Brown had a 63-yard score for DeSales, who also clinched a first round playoff game. The Stallions held the Eagles to 12 yards rushing.

Senior Quarterback Whit Hobgood tossed two 4th quarter touchdowns to help rally the Stallions past Bishop Watterson 21-17. With Stallions trailing 17-7 and 5:27 remaining in the game, Hobgood found sophomore Jack Elgin for a 24-yard touchdown pass. Whit, who threw for a career high 286 yards passing and three touchdowns, connected with Rechee Smith and he raced 50 yards for the go-ahead score with 27 seconds remaining.

Quintell Quinn had three rushing touchdowns, including a four-yard run in overtime to help lead the Stallions to their seventh win over the Eagles in eight games. After an interception return for an Eagle touchdown, Quinn also blocked an extra point to keep the game within one score at 22-14. The game was delayed due to thunder for 30 minutes and when play resumed, Quinn scored on the very first play to make it 22-20. Nathan Barber tied the game at 22 with a reception on a two-point conversion. Jordan Johnson had an 85-yard touchdown reception from Whit Hobgood in the first half, but DeSales trailed 16-7 at the break. After the second half, the Stallion defense held the Eagles to less than 100 yards of offense as Coach Wiggins improved to 13-4 against Watterson.
