Registration Open for 2017 Night of Tradition

We are pleased to announce that this year’s Night of Tradition on July 29th will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of our 1997 Division III State Championship Team.  The 1997 season provided great memories ending with an appearance in the school’s third State Championship Game and achieving the school’s second football State Championship with a dramatic 17-14 victory over Youngstown Chaney at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium, in Massilon, Ohio. We expect many players and coaches from the ‘97 team will be in attendance to reunite, reminisce, and celebrate!

Warren Ball '12 ranked 22nd among top College Football Workout Warriors

Former All-Ohio Stallion Running Back Warren Ball was listed among the top 40 of college football’s top workout warriors by Sports Illustrated.  Ball, a senior at Akron, rushed for 181 yards in two games before suffering a season-ending injury.

Here is the excerpt from Sports Illustrated:

"The former Ohio State back spent three seasons in the Big Ten (behind Carlos Hyde and Ezekiel Elliott) before joining the Zips. This spring he was granted a sixth year of eligibility. Ball had started the first two games of the 2016 season and piled up 181 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries before getting injured in Week 2 against Wisconsin. The 6’3”, 230-pounder is quite the physical specimen. He vertical jumps 39 inches, broad jumps 10’8”, was clocked at 4.4 in the 40 and only has 3% body fat. It’ll be interesting to see what Ball can do if he can stay healthy this fall in the MAC."

While at DeSales, Ball tallied 2,361 career rushing yards and scored 47 touchdowns in 30 games for the Stallions.

As a senior, he was recognized as a First Team All-Ohio selection after setting a school-record with 29 touchdowns.
