DeSales jumped out to a 29-0 lead before allowing the first points by a Cardinal team in 15 quarters.  Chad Young scored twice (28, 45), Todd Vrancken (5 yard run) and Eric Susi (45 yard interception) each added touchdowns for the Stallions.

For the second year in a row the Stallions beat St. Charles by a final score of 18-0.  Quarterback Rob Rayl threw for 121 yards and added a 1-yard touchdown for DeSales.  It was the third straight shutout aginst St. Charles and DeSales' fourth against the Cardinals in five games.  Tom Walsh had 80 yards rushing for the Stallions and a 10-yard touchdown in the 4th quarter.  Dan Sprout added a 20-yard field goal in the first half.

DeSales moved to 8-0 overall, 2-0 in Ohio Catholic League play and extended their winning streak to 31 games with the 18-0 win over St. Charles.  Jared Van Guilder had a pair of 2-yard touchdown runs to lead the Stallions on offense.  Jack Elgin also threw a touchdown pass for DeSales, who missed all three extra points.

Chris Roy’s 6-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Jack Elgin in the 3rd quarter was the difference in the Stallions 20th straight victory.  With 48 seconds left in the game, St. Charles tackled DeSales' punter on 4th down at the 19-yard line, giving the Cardinals their deepest penetration into Stallion territory.  Two plays later, linebacker John Crabtree picked-off a pass to preserve the win for DeSales.  Dan O’Reilly led the game with 70 yards rushing and also registered 12 tackles on defense for the Stallions.
